Review before applying
Compare actual behavior with the expected result. If a check fails, investigate it before applying more changes.
OrdinalBay supports AI-assisted project work on Windows with a compatible model endpoint. Bring a sorted-index routine into the conversation and inspect how repeated values affect the returned insertion position.

return loOrdinalBay gives ordered-data maintenance a Windows project workspace and a conversation with your chosen model. Begin with the behavior your application exposes when a value is inserted or located. Identify the source and the consumer together, so the discussion considers the meaning of the returned position as well as the code computing it.
You might request a review of lower_bound.py when duplicate values produce an unexpected insertion point. Provide the sorted input, target and exact expected index. Ask the model to inspect whether the caller needs the first equal value or a position after all equals before proposing a patch. Those choices can both sound reasonable while producing different application behavior.
Compare the suggested edit with that requirement and run fixtures for duplicates, an empty list and targets beyond both ends. Inspect whether the caller can handle a position equal to the list length. Keep validation of sorted input in the review if it is part of the current contract, rather than removing it as incidental work.
OrdinalBay connects to supported OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic endpoints using credentials when necessary. An uncensored AI model is selectable when available from your service. Its restrictions, context limit and tool access remain dependent on the selected model and server; explicit index expectations make its suggestions easier to assess.
No. An insertion position can equal the sequence length, and an empty sequence still has a valid insertion boundary. Inspect any caller that immediately indexes the result. A correct helper return can expose a separate assumption in the consuming code.
Say whether insertion should occur before existing equals or after them. Include a fixture with several equal entries and the expected position. Without that distinction, a proposed fix may preserve sorted order yet change stable grouping or presentation in the application.
Treat that as a separate design decision requiring evidence from your workload and an agreed caller contract. Do not remove a rejection guarantee during a correctness fix. Discuss where order is established and what happens if a caller violates the assumption.
Provide the smallest ordered list that reproduces the wrong position, its target and the expected index. Include the relevant caller expression and duplicate policy. This is often enough to discuss the boundary while avoiding unrelated or sensitive application data.
